A Great Blue Heron I think. This one stood about 3-4 feet tall just off the edge of Netarts Bay. I've seen them here before, but they're usually too far off to take a good photo of.
There was an abundance of Herons on Netarts when we were there as well. Alas, they were too far out and the light was not behaving; too much sun. He is a lovely Great Blue.
